After finishing a piece of glass work, it needs to be annealed. Annealing is a process that prevents glass from shattering due to stresses caused by swift cooling. If a glass bowl, for instance, is not put in an annealer, it will cool down improperly and crack or explode. Annealers come in all shapes and sizes. All of the annealers at CHG have electronic timers which control the cooling down process.
